Course Description
Security breaches are constantly on the rise, and legal costs and damage to your business and brand can be devastating. This course will teach you hardware and software techniques for recovering systems in an orderly and timely manner. In addition, we will review four components of digital investigation: forensic preparation, forensic analysis, forensic investigation and forensic remediation.

  • Establish and maintain effective logging procedures and processes
  • Develop policies that support logging processes
  • Perform log gathering and retention
  • Analyze logs for evidence using tools, software, and evidence collection techniques
  • Perform investigative interviews, create legally admissible reports
  • Identify possible remediation/prevention techniques

Prerequisites

  • Ability to use a computer for business applications.
  • Experience with laptop, workstation, server, and network hardware components.
  • Experience with investigative software preferred.
