Act as a contributor to the consultative sales of security products and services in the Northeastern Region. Identify and qualify prospects by networking, office/site visits, and cold calling. We also create lead generation through direct mail and partner relationships. Build and maintain new revenue within established account base and through newly acquired accounts. Project Manager, Security

Position for Project Manager requires that you must be able to develop strong relationships with clients; lead, motivate and focus your team; and understand how to apply technology to solve your clients business problems. You must be able to meet or exceed tight deadlines and client expectations. Requirements for this position are a BS/BA in Computer Science, Math, EE, Information Systems or a relevant technical field. At least 5 years in security related field, technical background and related business experience, including experience managing at least two large scale technology projects to successful completion. PMI Certification or related training is a plus as well as working in a consulting environment.

Job Description:
Manage large scale technical assignments in coordination with assigned Enterprise Security Administrator and/or Security Architect and team members. Build relationships with customer base. Candidate must be able to recognize a prospect "in the rough" and expand on existing engagements. Review security reports for non-technical accuracy and adherence to corporate polices.

Security Architect

Position requires candidate with 7+ years of experience in information security field, along with 12 years in IT. Direct work experience with security technologies, security best practice assessment services, and security architecture design will be preferred over others. Wide exposure to security technologies.

This role will be responsible for supporting ETSec's enterprise security team. The security architect will be responsible for understanding our customer's business challenges as they relate to information security, helping to co-develop requirements for solutions, and then proposing and delivering best fit solutions. These solutions will come in the form of security product recommendations and security services recommendations and implementation.

In order to be an expert on a wide range of security products, the Security Architect will spend time in the company's proof of concept lab, work with key vendors in information security to evaluate new technologies and other methods to keep current on industry trends. The Security Architect will attend sales presentations to enterprise accounts and lead strategy sessions and white board discussions around data security. The Security Architect will also create content around our client's solution set including white papers, scopes of work, design drawings and of forms of content.

Enterprise Security Administrator

Job Description:
Third level helpdesk; final security report technical responsibility; manage the helpdesk or managed services departments. Pre-sales visits with Sales advocate for Enterprise customer (500+). Write security policies for an enterprise.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, system reviews and vulnerability scans. Use a combination of automated tools, manual methods, and interviewing techniques to gather the information necessary to report on security risks. Author written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in the incident response team in a hands-on, technical role. Identify the root cause of security incidents. Recommend and implement solutions for limiting the scope of the incident. Eradicate any signs of intrusion. Work with senior management to recommend and implement additional controls to prevent future incidents.
  • Conduct security reviews on IT projects. Attend meetings and review documentation as needed in order to identify security requirements for new and ongoing IT projects. Design security solutions for new systems and applications.
  • Monitor the announcements of new security vulnerabilities. Identify vulnerabilities that are applicable to United Online systems and applications, determine their severity and urgency, work with system owners to determine if and when corrective action will be taken, and perform necessary actions to verify that corrective actions were effective.

Experience Required:

Minimum Requirements: Skills/Qualifications: The applicant must have at least five (5) years professional experience in an IT Security or IT Audit role, and have deep technical knowledge of information security theory, technologies, policies and practices, with an emphasis on networking related security issues. Significant hands on experience configuring routers, switches, bridges, gateways, wireless access points, and other network devices for secure operation is essential as is familiarity with remote access systems, VPN solutions, and other encryption technologies. The applicant must feel comfortable providing security advice to highly skilled, deeply technical, networking professionals. Good written and verbal communication skills are also a necessity.

Education: Four year college degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another related technical field.

Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures is required, as well as a B.S. in computer science, computer engineering or related field. This position will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and will serve as a deep technical network security resource for a dynamic and fast paced telecommunications operation working on a wide range of land line, wireless and ISP voice and data service products. The incumbent will be responsible for providing advice, research support, project management services, and technical security expertise to product development teams, application administrators and network operation units. The applicant will assist in the testing, selection, design, placement, implementation, documentation, operation and maintenance of various network security technologies including authentication devices, access controls, firewalls, proxy serves, IDS/IPS systems and forensic analysis tools. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between the CISO and various internal constituencies (IT Security, IT Management, Networking), product/solution vendors, IT Auditors and corporate consultants.

Experience Desired:

Desired Qualifications: CISSP, GIAC or other security certification a plus. Telecommunications industry experience in security or networking (wireline, wireless and/or ISP networking) highly desirable. Direct experience analyzing, evaluating, comparing and selecting security solutions, as well as experience managing security or networking staff considered a plus. Experience with CISCO networking equipment, PIX and Checkpoint Firewalls, ISS and CISCO IDS/IPS technologies, all helpful. Senior Security Administrator

Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing assessments and security scans on IT systems. Certifies whether or not the assessments meet predetermined security requirements. Provides recommendations on resolving vulnerabilities. Understand (assess) and assist in the management of complex and specific risks associated with modern information systems and networks. Provide security support for corporate security initiatives such as intrusion detection, virus and malicious code protection, operating systems, configuration or hardening, networking, and firewall administration. Assist in the completion of security projects using the specialized expertise and discipline of information security management methodologies and templates for projects which may include: Anti-virus Controls, including Trojan horses, worms, malicious code, and other network threats., Firewall technology, Intrusion detection systems, Incident response and prevention best practices Responsible for notifying the appropriate IT operations group on vulnerabilities within their systems and security alerts that could affect the systems they manage, and to provide recommendations on mitigating or removing the vulnerabilities. Coordinate the establishment, implementation and adherence to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of information security services.

Perform monitoring and analysis of logs generated by Unix, Windows, Databases, firewalls, networks, etc. Identify and investigate anomalous log entries for impact on the security, integrity and performance of the company's computing infrastructure. Implement, automate and maintain reporting tools for log analysis. Work with infrastructure teams in resolution of issues. Monitor vulnerability notices from vendors, security agencies and governmental resources. Track company compliance in resolving such vulnerabilities. Implement and enforce corporate-wide standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3-5 years experience in Information Security.
